Job Overview The Triage Behavioral Health Clinician/Clinical Supervisor, under general direction, provides immediate mental health support within primary care settings. They conduct rapid assessments using evidence-based tools and deliver targeted interventions within 24-72 hours to increase access to care. This clinician integrates behavioral health services through real-time consultations and brief interventions while maintaining an active presence within the primary care team and facilitating warm handoffs between providers. The role encompasses diagnosis, evaluation, treatment planning, and short-term crisis intervention sessions within a brief program framework, utilizing approaches such as problem-solving therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and substance abuse treatment. It also provides education and develops behavioral change plans to address health-impacting behaviors. As part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the clinician ensures the seamless coordination of physical and mental healthcare, requiring strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced medical environment, while also participating in professional development opportunities. The staff member will also be responsible for providing clinical and administrative oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff.

Requirements

  • Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the California Behavioral Science Board.
  • Master's level degree required.
  • Previous experience supervising MSWs and/or ASWs.
  • Completion of 15 units in Supervision coursework.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience required.
  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
