About The Position

UW Medical Center – Montlake has an opportunity for an experienced Lactation Consultant Nurse to join our Postpartum Unit. The Lactation Consultant serves as a support to pregnant and lactating parents and their infants. RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited to: Manage and/or support a caseload of patients across the perinatal and breastfeeding continuum (assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation). Provide lactation services to patients on an as-needed basis, working with other care providers to triage need. Requirements

Have/obtain a Washington State RN license to practice
Two or more years of current/recent experience in nursing care of breastfeeding families.
IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) certification.
