Due to continued growth, VMG is seeking a Layout Technician to join their team. In this role, the Layout Technician will assist in the layout of commercial construction worksites, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, plumbing codes, and construction drawings. This position is essential to maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality in field execution.

Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in new construction, including layout-related work
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
Excellent measuring skills with a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in active jobsite environments
Comfortable working on ladders and at heights

Responsibilities

Assist with layout of plumbing systems and construction sites according to approved plans and specifications
Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and building plans
Accurately measure and mark layout points for installation
Identify and troubleshoot layout or site-related challenges, providing effective solutions
Collaborate with field teams to ensure precision and efficiency in layout execution
Ensure compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and safety standards
