About The Position

Job Description Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all entry level layout activities, including, but not limited to, first article, tool inspections, gage correlations, CMM support, tool correlations, and customer print verification; maintain layout equipment and certifications. Responsible to the department supervisor for the completion of all assigned tasks in a prompt and efficient manner. Work with other associates, as needed, to complete work assignments. Ensure clear, concise, accurate records are kept for compliance with JTI's quality system. Knowledgeable regarding other department functions relevant to optimizing performance and understanding layout responsibilities. Interfacing with all facets of engineering and manufacturing. Ensure proper communications is maintained regarding layout responsibilities to complete an assigned task with the customer. Support CMM equipment and software, as well as optical comparators. Maintain department equipment and support efforts for continuous improvement and EHS. Requirements

  • Ability to support the customer, maintaining the timeline, proper communication and EHS support
  • Minimizing machine downtime related to part, expendable or tooling issues.
  • Ensuring quality system tracking is maintained
  • Technical background and High School diploma
  • Background in inspection procedures and principles, as well as competent math skills
  • Computer experience desired (desk top and/or programming)
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
