About The Position

Do you have a mechanical aptitude and a quality background? Harrison Steel has an opening in its quality department for a layout technician. This position is responsible for checking steel castings for dimensional accuracy. This position uses various methods of inspection including Bendix portage machines, Metranors, FeroArms, and other CMM or measurement techniques. Additional primary duties include entering data into a computer, operating ultrasonic equipment for dimensional inspections, and designing and assembling hand gauges. Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills
• Good problem solving skills and knowledge of safety practices
• High level of personal accountability
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

• Previous quality experience is preferred
