About The Position

Lay Down Machine Operator Location: Midland, TX (AWS Yard) Ranger Energy Services (RES) provides well service rigs for the purpose of workover or completion operations. Along with the well service rigs, RES offers a wide range of additional wellsite support services including, fluid transfer, fishing and rental services, hot oiling, frac tank rental and wellsite construction. RES is managed by seasoned industry veterans and services blue-chip customers in the Permian Basin with a substantial asset base, strong safety culture and industry-leading operating procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES:Lay Down Machine Operator will assist with set up and take down of lay down machine equipment. In this role, the job duties include handling tubulars via LDM both picking up and laying down, and sorting tools, pipes, pipe rolling and other materials that aid in the rig’s operation, along with assisting the rig operations.

Requirements

• Floorhand or Derrickhand experience preferred
• Valid Class C with clean driving record, Class A CDL preferred
• Works well with others
• Basic problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, read & write in English
• Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basis
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains Pick-Up Lay Down machine
• Assists in removing or installing well head and associated equipment
• Works in a crew that is responsible for completions and production activities
• Works to ensure continuous production consistent with company standards
• Reports all safety incidents and concerns to operator/pusher/superintendent
• Follows and supports all RES HSE policies at all times
• Knows and uses appropriate PPE at all times
• Drives company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off-road situations including two track roads
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
