About The Position

The Lavatory Agent ensures aircraft lavatories are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked by safely servicing waste systems, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards. The Lavatory Agent is responsible for the servicing and maintenance of aircraft lavatories. This role involves emptying waste tanks, sanitizing and cleaning lavatories, and refilling necessities like hand soap and toilet paper. You must follow strict safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for passengers and crew. Also, you must operate specialized vehicles and equipment, maintain service logs, and report maintenance issues to their supervisor.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and operating equipment
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and shift patterns
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment for servicing aircraft lavatories, including pump trucks and hoses
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation of aircraft lavatory systems in compliance with company and safety standards
  • Empty, clean, and refill lavatory tanks and replenish supplies as needed
  • Inspect lavatory equipment for leaks, damage, and proper operation
  • Adhere to all environmental regulations regarding the handling and disposal of lavatory waste
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed on each aircraft
  • Coordinate with ground crew and flight staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination
  • Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of lavatory service equipment
  • Respond promptly to service requests and adjust to changes in flight schedules
  • Ensure the lavatory service area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Participate in safety briefings and training sessions
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other airport staff
  • Assist in other ground support roles as needed during peak times or staff shortages
  • Provide high-quality service to ensure a pleasant experience for passengers and airline staff

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
