About The Position

Richmond Health Care Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Technician / Housekeeping Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. We are currently hiring for the following shifts: Available Shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM PRN / As Needed

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
• Ability to follow infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to lift, push, and pull laundry carts and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassion and respect for elderly residents

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident linens and personal clothing
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Sort laundry according to facility procedures and infection control standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to infection control guidelines
• Remove trash and soiled linens from designated areas
• Ensure housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies are stocked
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control policies
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
