About The Position

Laundry Technician - Full-Time Come be part of our best-in-class housekeeping team at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community. Our housekeepers and laundry team are an important part of resident life, working to create a comfortable, safe and healthy home environment for residents across our continuing care retirement community. Our laundry techs have access to great equipment, a positive working environment, a variety of schedule options, free uniforms, $50 annual shoe allowance and so much more. Duties include: Perform daily laundry functions to maintain a clean linen supply for skilled care and assisted living Pickup, identify and sort personal clothing for skilled care residents. Process and supply clean linens for the pool, therapy, beauty salon, guest rooms, exercise rooms and other designated areas. Maintain clean and orderly laundry rooms. Provide great service with positive communications. Demonstrate great attendance and reliability. Process labels for clothing using a label machine Our work environment in a healthcare facility means that a focus on following infection control and safety management is key. We provide caring service to our residents, including supporting them during difficult times or in emergency situations. Laundry work is an essential part of providing excellent care and we take great pride in navigating the variety of environmental components (malodors, heat, etc.) with great processes and attention to detail. Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to read and follow required safety standards and protocols Basic ability to use tools and technology to receive/process work Prior experience with laundry is a plus, and we’re seeking reliable, friendly people who are focused on quality. Training is provided. Requirements
