You'll facilitate high standards of commercial laundry production and linen supply for hospitality, food & beverage outlets and other businesses. What you bring to the table Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor to represent The Laundry Mill with pride.
• Friendly and approachable attitude that helps customers (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
• Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both customers and teammates.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Oregon Driver's license with clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Separate soiled linen and is knowledgeable in handling hazardous waste products and spotting chemicals while using the proper safety procedures.
• Weigh soiled linen to ensure correct amount of linen is loaded into the washers.
• Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Load and unload washers and dryers.
• Replace chemical drums as needed while using proper personal protective equipment.
• Feed linen into the flat iron or small piece folder.
• Stand and fold linen by hand.
• Wrap table linen using industrial wrapping equipment.
• Wipe and sanitize equipment, carts and surfaces; vacuums, sweeps and wet mops floors.
• Read and understand safety data sheets (SDS) and safety policies.
• Operates washers and dryers using basic settings appropriate to linen type and load size.
• Identifies different types of linens and ensures proper placement throughout the laundering process.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
