About The Position

On-the-job training and orientation will be provided. Iron, Operate or tend washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial articles, such as cloth garments, blankets, draperies and linens. Short-term on-the-job training will be provided. Ability to work with others in a close proximity is a MUST. Bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time will be required. You are required to use your hands to handle, control and feed articles into the machines in a repetitive movement. Must be prepared to work in hot temperatures.

Requirements

• Standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
• Repetitive movement using hands to feed articles into the machines
• Contact with others (face-to-face) in groups and individual
• Includes exposure to hot atmosphere, sounds and noise levels that can be distracting
• Repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over
• Work with others in a group or team
• Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
• Able to stand for 8n or 10 hour shifts
• May be required to bend, reach and/or lift up to 25 lbs
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand on feet and work in hot temperatures for several hours
• Good hand-eye coordination

Responsibilities

• Completing processing of linen to meet quality and efficiency standards
• Iron
• Operate extractors and driers, or direct their operation
• Load or unload material into machinery
• Spread fabric or clothing article on worktable or ironing board
• Maintain consistent production quality
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
