This is a seasonal role on Mackinac Island, beginning in early April and continuing through October. Housing and meals in our onsite cafeteria available at $19.50/day. Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a laundry or hospitality environment preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
Knowledge of laundry equipment and processes
Understanding of laundry chemicals and their proper usage
Ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and pressing
Lead and motivate a team of laundry staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional results
Develop and implement procedures to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels and manage the procurement of laundry supplies
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of clean linens and uniforms
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and address any maintenance issues
Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and maintain a safe working environment
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance laundry operations
