We’re hiring a Laundry Attendant to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park! Job Summary: Work in all phases of main laundry operation to include: Prepare linen for laundering, including sorting, counting, folding, pressing, stocking and preparing for delivery to rooms and departments. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $16.80 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why the Grand Canyon Hotel & Suites? Requirements

Previous experience in a housekeeping, laundry or custodial position preferred.
Physical Requirements include:
Constantly: Stand.
Frequently: Walk, reach outward & above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, squat/kneel, bend, crawl, climb, and lift/carry up to 100 lbs.

Previous experience in a housekeeping, laundry or custodial position preferred.

Responsibilities

Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability, both in how work is conducted and quality of work.
Prepare linen for laundering, including sorting, counting, folding, pressing, and stocking and preparing for delivery.
Accurately weigh linen for washing.
Load and unload washers and dryers.
Meet daily shift production standards of generating clean linens so as not to delay housekeeping.
Follow proper equipment operating procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and notify Laundry Manager of any equipment malfunctions.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental procedures in the lifting, loading, and handling of linens, use of detergents and cleaners.
Wear required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
Utilize strict adherence to risk management procedures in handling biohazard designated linens.
Monitor chemical levels when necessary.
Deliver laundry to proper locations.
Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures such as safety, risk management and environmental policies.
Other duties as assigned.
