About The Position

You take pride in cleanliness, organization, and keeping things running smoothly in public areas throughout the hotel and behind the scenes. You understand that clean public areas, fresh, clean linens are essential to a great guest experience. If you enjoy steady, hands-on work in a supportive team environment, keep reading. The Role As a Laundry and Public Area Attendant, you clean, fold, stain removal, sort, and process hotel linens to support the housekeeping department. You clean and keep the public areas inside and outside the hotel guest ready and to brand standards. You help ensure public areas are ready for guest use and hotel linens are washed, dried, folded, and ready for use each day. You will work as a team in helping stripe rooms, make beds if needed on heavy checkout days and work directly with the Head of Housekeeping, Inspectors, and housekeepers as one unit. We are looking for a team player here at Bay City Marriott we all help one another and ensure we strive for the best possible service and experience for our guest.

Requirements

  • Able to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible to work any shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Laundry or housekeeping experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and towels, cleaning all public areas inside and outside the hotel.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and follow proper procedures, work with Housekeepers in striping rooms and making beds when needed.
  • Sort linens by type and condition before processing, including stain treatment.
  • Inspect linens for damage or stains and report issues, inspect all public areas for any safety concerns while maintaining cleanliness and stock of those areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment
  • Restock clean linens and support housekeeping as needed, follow the direction of the hotel managers and supervisors.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and hotel standards
