The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves inspecting, washing, folding, and storing laundered items while adhering to quality, safety, and compliance standards. The attendant maintains a clean and organized workspace, supports inventory management, and contributes to a seamless guest experience through attention to detail and teamwork. Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Available on weekends and some holidays
- Adhering to Newport Handbook policies is required.
Responsibilities
- Collecting dirty linens and towels from various locations within the hotel
- Operating laundry equipment such as washers and dryers
- Folding and organizing clean linens
- Monitoring and replenishing laundry supplies
