About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing the resort’s laundry daily including guestroom terry & linen, and Food & Beverage linens. The processing includes sorting & washing dirty laundry, operating washers, dryers, and folders, and storing and distributing clean linen & terry. They will also be responsible for removing damaged laundry and discarding torn goods or running a treatment cycle to reclaim stained linens. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Conversational English; able to communicate with resort associates.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or the laundry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work area neat and organized.
  • Know and perform all stages of linen processing (i.e., sorting and weighing soiled linen; sort clean linen; run clean laundry through proper machinery).
  • Load and unload machinery.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Clean the laundry machinery, filters and vents.
  • Report any mechanical problems to supervisor or manager.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Clean the laundry area.
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
  • Assist in linen inventories.
