About The Position

Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur is a long-term care residence for Sisters who have dedicated their lives to serving God. We are seeking a Laundry Aide to support the daily laundry operations for our 80-bed, five-star facility. This role works under the supervision of the Director of Laundry Services and helps ensure that all garments, linens, and laundry services are completed with exceptional quality, care, and efficiency. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in commercial or institutional laundry operations preferred.
Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, processes, and best practices is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
Ability to work efficiently, manage time well, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and service.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat all Sisters with dignity and respect.
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to urgent needs as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial or institutional laundry operations preferred.
Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, processes, and best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with all laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing linens and garments.
Ensure an adequate and consistent supply of clean linens to meet the needs of the Sisters and the facility.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
Properly handle, store, and mix cleaning agents and disinfectants.
Monitor inventory levels of linens and laundry supplies and report needs to the Director.
Support training of new staff as requested.
Assist with basic equipment care and cleaning; report maintenance needs promptly.
Accurately follow departmental procedures and assist with light recordkeeping as directed.
Mend or repair garments and linens as needed.
Provide prompt, courteous service and respond to Sisters’ laundry-related requests or concerns.
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support smooth facility operations.
