About The Position

The Laundry Aide maintains clean linens, resident clothing and other fabrics by collecting dirty laundry and delivering clean laundry to the proper place and in the proper manner. This position is not regularly scheduled and would pick up shifts as needed and able.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, and/or guests.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
• Knowledge of operation of cleaning machines such as vacuums, floor scrubbers and TRU-D.
• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided

Responsibilities

• Gathering soiled linens, sorting processing, and redistributing of linens throughout the facility.
• Operating of laundry and linen processing machines.
• Removing damaged, torn, and stained linens from service, notifying supervisor so appropriate inventories are maintained.
• Using laundry chemicals according to manufacturers’ directions for use, labeling, storage, and cleanup.
• Practicing good work safety procedures by wearing personal protective equipment/PPE, such as gloves, mask, splash shields, and/or gowns as directed and pertinent to OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
• Work productively and positively with other staff.
