About The Position

• Acts as the technical interface between the manufacturing plant team and the program management and customer teams. • Coordinates activities to achieve program deliverables, ensures successful launches, manages quality expectations, tracks tooling, and meets delivery requirements, while also leading plant APQP activities and product validation. • Initiates commitments for new programs, develops tooling requirements, tracking and verification, develops plant specification sheets for part quality, develops packaging specifications, and performs part capability studies. • Leads program finance and budgeting, including material costing, bill-of-material creation, and capital equipment requirements, provides product-specific support to marketing, including presentations, datasheets, customer visits, market research data, formulation of product business and launch plans, and develops sample and prototype manufacturing schedules with the plant scheduling department and support development. • Accountable for overseeing all aspects of new program launch as it pertains to the assembly plant. • Provides leadership and daily direction to Plant Departments (Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, IT, and Production) concerning upcoming build timing/plans, product configuration, and component part status leading up to pre-production builds • Overall Budget Tracking for Launch Costs (Tooling/Equipment, Capital, Tracking and Reporting • Leads plant buildout/launch open issues meetings and drives items to closure. Escalate items as required. • Responsible to oversee the Change Implementation Process on new and current model programs • Understand and communicate engineering changes to the plant team and lead the team to understand plant impacts and develop a coordinated implementation plan. • Lead the preparation of all impacts/quotes for product design and production process changes. • Interacts with and coordinates all the outsourced activities with vendors on production products. • Maintains regular communication with Customers to ensure requirements are understood and supply is uninterrupted at the Customers' facilities.

Requirements

  • BS required
  • Requires 5- 8 years of experience
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
