Position Overview We are seeking a Vice President to join our Latin America High Touch Cash Equities Trading team in New York. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high‑quality execution services across Latin American markets, partnering closely with sales, research, and electronic trading teams, and delivering exceptional service to institutional clients. This role is ideal for an experienced, energetic, and detail‑oriented equity trader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is looking to grow within a global, high‑performance equities platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of relevant cash equities trading experience, ideally with direct exposure to Latin American markets.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and local regulations across major LatAm exchanges.
• Quantitative aptitude and strong analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Bloomberg, EMS/OMS platforms, and trading analytics preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and client‑facing confidence.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple workflow streams.
• A self‑starter who can operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Required licenses: Series 7, 63, and 57 (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).

Responsibilities

• Execute high‑touch cash equity orders across Latin American markets, (ADRs) with a focus on best execution, market nuance, and client service.
• Manage risk exposures within established limits while optimizing trading performance and contributing to desk PnL.
• Maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, providing market color, liquidity insights, and trade ideas.
• Collaborate with sales, research, and electronic trading teams to enhance the overall client offering.
• Monitor market developments, corporate actions, liquidity shifts, and regulatory changes impacting LatAm equity markets.
• Support daily desk functions including trade booking, reconciliation, and coordination with operations and compliance.
• Contribute to content generation, pre‑trade analysis, and client‑facing commentary.
• Uphold the highest professional standards and represent Jefferies’ culture of integrity, teamwork, and client‑focused execution.
