A Lathe Operator is responsible for finishing and final inspection of parts and preparation for shipping according to work instructions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive operations
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Blueprint reading experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and undergo cross-training
- Effective communications skills
Responsibilities
- Utilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy
- Able to run multiple lathe machines and product consistent quality
- Complete periodic quality checks on parts using measuring tools and gages
- Perform griding and buffing on completed parts to remove chips or burrs
- Maintain cleanliness of machines, operating area and other equipment used
