About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator / Programmer to support production in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced in CNC or laser operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of CNC programming or laser operation experience
Ability to operate laser cutting machinery
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with tape measures and calipers
Ability to convert fractions to decimals
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required

Responsibilities

Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut and engrave materials according to specifications
Program and optimize laser cutting processes for efficiency and accuracy
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser equipment
Select and adjust materials as needed for production runs
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications
Maintain standard work procedures and production flow
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S activities
Follow all quality system policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Complete required production and quality documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
