About The Position

The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting equipment in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. This role ensures precision cutting of various materials according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
• Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines based on work orders and technical drawings
• Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and job specifications to ensure accurate production
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser equipment
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
