About The Position

At Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), we’re building first-of-a-kind technology that advances the future of uranium enrichment. We are seeking a Laser Integration Engineer to support the performance, integration, and optimization of GLE’s pulsed CO₂ laser systems and associated subsystems. Reporting to the Laser and Process Science Manager, this role works cross-functionally with Laser Engineering, Operations, Process Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and other technical teams to integrate laser performance into broader program goals supporting commercialization of GLE’s technology. If you’re passionate about laser systems, hands-on integration, troubleshooting, and working in a highly regulated technical environment-this is an opportunity to make a direct impact. Why Join GLE? Support first-of-a-kind nuclear technology. Collaborate across engineering disciplines to solve complex integration challenges. Contribute to a mission-driven organization grounded in safety, quality, and innovation. Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and long-term growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • A.S. degree in Lasers and Photonics or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting laser integration and performance.
  • Experience with pulsed CO₂ laser systems.
  • General understanding of laser safety requirements and safe working practices.
  • Experience installing and integrating optical and electrical components.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and systems-thinking ability.
  • Ability to work in technical areas with limited direction and high accountability.
  • Strong communication, computer, and technical writing skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be willing to complete a drug test and background investigation as part of the selection process.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DOE/NRC Q-clearance or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in classified and/or highly regulated environments.
