About The Position

The Laser Etch Operator at PRECISION MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES is responsible for operating laser etching equipment to produce high-quality, precise markings on medical devices and components. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications in laser technology or manufacturing processes are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating laser etching machines, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of maintaining precision and quality in laser etching tasks.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of laser etching processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laser etching machines.
  • Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to follow strict safety protocols and quality standards in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate laser etching machines according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine the appropriate settings and adjustments for each job.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and quality of etched components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, maintenance logs, and quality inspection results.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in laser etching operations.
