About The Position

2 nd shift Laser Operator at our Wayland, Michigan location. Pay commensurate with experience 2nd shift premium = $1.50 p/hr. Sign-on Bonus $1,000 PTO upon hire, Benefits after 30 days Work week is Mon. through Fri., 2pm to 10pm. Currently working overtime, during the week and also Sat. and some Sun.

Requirements

Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions
Work with little direction (other than standard procedures)
Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser
Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures
Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of tubular steel manufacturing and fabrication processes is a PLUS!

Responsibilities

Use hard gages and calipers to confirm part quality
Utilize forklift and crane to load material into machine
Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure premium part quality
Perform daily preventative maintenance and typically set up multiple jobs per day
Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications
