About The Position

Kondex Corporation is looking for a Laser Clad Operator II to join the Laser Cladding department.

Current opening on 2nd shift
2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Training will likely occur on 1st shift, Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm for approximately 10-12 weeks.
Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria.
• Ability to learn more complex equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior robotics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts on the laser clad machine while achieving expected rates.
• Reading prints and routings.
• Performing basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices and visually inspect.
• Making changes to the following components of the laser clad equipment; lens cover, nozzle, optics, powder, tracking camera, etc.
• Follow established machine settings and parameters.
• Learn set-ups and program editing by assisting Operator I.
• Close orders in computer.
• Perform 5S activities, not including preventative maintenance on equipment.
