Landscaping Spray Technician
About The Position
We're looking for a skilled Landscape Spray Technician to join our team in Charlotte and maintain the health and beauty of local landscapes. Key Responsibilities: Applying Treatments: Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to turf, trees, shrubs, and flowers. Mix and prepare chemical agents according to specified formulas. Utilize hand-held manual and electrical sprayer and trapping equipment. Monitor turf health and diagnose potential problems. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain spray equipment, including driving and ensuring safe operation. Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemical solutions. Lift, push, and maneuver nozzles, hoses, and tubes for precise spraying. Scheduling and Communication: Plan daily, weekly, and monthly treatment schedules. Communicate with the Manager to ensure adequate supply of materials. Oversee storage and issuance of materials. Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Apply the principles of IPM in all treatment applications.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in landscape spray application.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. repetitively.
- Knowledge of pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer application techniques.
- Experience operating and maintaining spray equipment.
- Ability to plan and manage schedules.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of IPM principals.
