Location of Position: Wylie, TX The Position: The Driver/Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising landscaping crews, ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites, and managing the transportation of crews, equipment, and materials. This role also provides hands-on landscaping support and completes necessary administrative and vehicle-related tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • At least 1 year of experience in landscaping required
  • Minimum 2 years of landscape maintenance experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing 2+ person crew
  • Experience operating pickup trucks and pulling flatbeds for deliveries or service work preferred
  • Ability to read architectural drawings

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and manage crews for maximum efficiency and quality of work.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance or training to crew members.
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment is worn at all times when the equipment or job task specifies.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are on site and maintained for maximum efficiency.
  • Act as the main point of communication between the crew, project manager, and client.
  • Assist in conducting morning safety meetings.
  • Assist with various landscaping duties, which can include mowing, blowing, planting, watering, spreading mulch, general site cleanup, etc.
  • Complete daily paperwork, including but not limited to employee timesheets, daily mileage, numbers of vehicles and equipment used, and billing sheets.
  • Conduct daily inspections on vehicles, report any needed repairs, and keep the vehicles clean.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport crews, materials, and tools to different work locations.
  • Load and unload trash, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Utilize GPS to plan efficient travel routes.
  • Run errands if needed.
