Landscapers are responsible for maintaining the beauty of the property, such as the park, animal exhibits, parking lots, and other surrounding areas. We are currently looking for a: Landscaper - Sea Life Park Roles & Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Uses equipment, including String Trimmers, Riding Mower, Backpack/Leaf blowers, Hedge Trimmers, Chainsaws, Gator Vehicle, Forklift
• Lifts 50 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and fixing irrigation.
• Communicating effectively.
• Works well independently and with a team.
• At least one year of landscaping experience
• At least one year of irrigation experience

Responsibilities

• Following written and verbal instructions from the Supervisor
• Maintaining a Reliable attendance record
• Starting shift at 5:30am and complete at 2:00pm (Able to work overtime if needed)
• Able to work Holidays and Weekends if needed
• Able to respond to emergency storm clean ups/ repairs
• Working outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, and wind.
• Blowing and cleaning the Property before opening to the public
• Working in a fast-paced environment and meet timelines
• Working with team members and also independently on jobs assigned
• Planting new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, palms, and bushes.
• Maintaining gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
• Upkeeping Luau Grounds and perform various projects according to the Luau needs
• Safely operating a Gator, Riding Mower and Forklift (Once Certified through the Company)
• Safely operating String Trimmers, Chainsaws, Hedge Trimmers, and other hand tools
• Watering plants and lawns
• Installing new irrigation lines, timers, sprinklers, etc.
• Troubleshooting and repairing various irrigation problems
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Loading and unloading landscape tools into Gator and/or work truck
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time
• Emptying trash cans
• Performing weekly maintenance on Power Tools
• Properly mixing and storing gas
• Adheres to all safety precautions.
• Assisting in placing decorative rocks, stones, pavers, wood chips and other items around the lawn to facilitate the completion of the overall aesthetic look.
