Typical schedule will be Monday – Thursday 6A-4:30P with Friday – Sunday OFF (must be flexible to work weekends depending on client’s needs)

Requirements

  • 5 years related experience performing high quality landscape maintenance.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Must have experience operating various types of commercial landscape equipment including mowers and other gas - powered equipment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and assist in safely lifting up to 50 pounds of material.
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to work outdoors in all types of weather common in Central Florida including extreme heat and humidity.
  • Must have a clean background check
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a friendly personality
  • Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Follow a written plan detailing routine and project work to be performed.
  • Attend safety training and follow all safety policies including proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment.
  • Receive feedback on completed work and received training as needed to address deficiencies.
  • Operate landscape tools and equipment including mowers, edgers, weed eaters, blowers, aerators, chain saws, etc.
  • Mow lawns, trim, and edge around walks, beds, walls, etc.
  • Prune shrubs and trees according to industry standard practices to promote plant health and nice appearance.
  • Remove leaves, branches, and other debris using a rake, broom, and blower.
  • Maintain flower beds.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, sod, and trees as requested.
  • Maintain health and appearance of landscaping with proper fertilization and pest control methods.
  • Pull weeds by hand.
  • Respond to client and customer complaints.
  • Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure safe and effective working condition and make repairs as required.
  • Sharpen blades on tools and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain drainage ditches and culverts, keeping clear of leaves and debris.
  • Perform assigned tasks for emergency preparedness and recovery efforts in the assigned areas.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to address urgent matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
