For Garden’s Sake is a family-owned garden center and landscaping company, in operation since 1999. They are continually growing and offer customers a one-stop shop for plants, landscape design/installation, and lawn maintenance services. The position is for an experienced Lawn Maintenance Landscaper to lead an Enhancement Crew. This team focuses on meticulous detail work and fine-tuning, going above and beyond routine lawn maintenance. Crew members are expected to be hard-working, team players, and work with integrity and professionalism. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Requirements

MUST have a valid driver’s license with no major MVR infractions
Strong understanding of how and when to prune and trim shrubs
Detail-oriented mindset and keen eye
Previous professional lawn maintenance experience with focus on enhancement
Ability to operate equipment proficiently and safely
Ability to perform physical work in outdoor conditions, both hot and cold
Physical capability to lift greater than 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred
Landscape lighting and/or irrigation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Technical and specific shrub trimming based on plant type and time of year
Edge and trim beds, prune trees and shrubs, weed, spread mulch and pine straw
Small-scale plant and annuals installation
Some routine lawn maintenance: Mow grass, water lawns and flower beds, blow leaves and brush, aerate and seed
Operate large machinery: trucks and trailers, ride-on and walk-behind mowers, etc.
Operate handheld equipment: blowers, weed eaters, aerators/seeders, etc.
Work closely with a team to produce a superior product that enhances our customers’ lifestyle
Routinely interact with clients and crew members in a professional manner
Create a positive work environment for fellow team members
