About The Position

Hoffman Development is seeking a full-time year-round Landscape Technician to maintain the appearance and upkeep of their locations. The role involves all aspects of greenhouse work, including potting, watering, transplanting, and plant maintenance. It also encompasses various landscape tasks such as soil modification, tilling, planting flowers, trees, and shrubs, mulching, pruning, watering, clean up, weeding, deadheading, grading and site prep, hardscape and retaining wall work, and working with irrigation systems. The technician will work both independently and with fellow staff members to maintain Hoffman properties.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid NY State driver’s license
Able to lift 50 lbs. from ground to 4 ft.
Able to stoop and lift 30 lbs. from ground to overhead
Able to bend, reach, lift, and climb ladders

Nice To Haves

Experience with planting and landscape installs
Experience with pruning trees and shrubs
Grading and site prep knowledge
Irrigation experience
Hardscape and retaining wall work
Ability to operate and haul equipment (skid steer, tractor and excavator)
