About The Position

The Crew Member spends most of the time in the field completing various landscape related tasks. This position works with a crew under the direction of a Crew Leader and occasionally completes tasks without direct supervision.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Prior experience helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to process and follow instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to learn to use tools and equipment meeting operational safety standards
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to work in a safety aware environment
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed
  • Flexibility to workplace changes
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Frequent lifting and carrying weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping
  • Frequent operation of equipment
  • Ability to hear, corrected to normal
  • Ability to communicate and follow instructions
  • Ability to generate up to 125 lbs. of push/pull force to maneuver various equipment/supplies
  • Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus

Responsibilities

  • Perform work requested by the supervisor, in the timeframe requested, to the level of professionalism expected by members of Team Perficut
  • Mowing, trimming, edging turf areas and blowing off hard surfaces/structures, weeding, planting, cultivating, cleaning, raking, cutting, trimming, wildlife management, removal of trash and debris
  • Adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Willingness to learn to operate equipment and tools needed to perform daily tasks
  • Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards
  • Evaluate and report conditions that detract from the safety or aesthetic value of the property
  • Perform just-in-time, light maintenance on equipment in the field
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with manager, supervisor, peers, and clients
  • Accurately record hours worked
  • Meet deadlines and follow instructions and expectations expressed by supervisor or crew leader
  • Perform snow and ice removal
  • Other duties as assigned
