About The Position

The Landscape Maintenance Business Developer is responsible for driving new maintenance contract growth through relationship-based selling, strategic prospecting, and strong market presence. This role focuses on developing long-term client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding Pine Lake Companies’ maintenance portfolio within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance targets
  • High level of accountability and sense of urgency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in landscaping, property management, or related industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of maintenance services, horticulture, or irrigation is a plus
  • Experience using CRM systems; Aspire experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Experience using social media for professional outreach is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new landscape maintenance contracts
  • Conduct site walks and perform detailed needs assessments
  • Build and maintain a strong and active sales pipeline
  • Develop professional, client-focused, value-based proposals
  • Achieve individual sales targets and revenue goals
  • Develop deep knowledge of South Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota markets
  • Actively represent Pine Lake Companies within the assigned territory
  • Build long-term relationships with property managers, associations, and decision makers
  • Attend industry events, association meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline, bid logs, and client data in Aspire
  • Track opportunities, follow-ups, and sales activities consistently
  • Provide regular pipeline and performance updates to leadership
  • Partner with operations and estimating teams to ensure accurate project scoping
  • Maintain awareness of current and upcoming workload to align sales efforts
  • Communicate timelines, expectations, and project details clearly to internal teams and clients
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and service expansion
  • Support leadership in implementing growth strategies and operational efficiencies
  • Increase market penetration within targeted client segments
  • Utilize social media and professional platforms to support outreach and brand presence
