The Budd Group is seeking an energetic, reliable Landscape Crew Leader to oversee grounds maintenance for a prestigious, historic school in Chatham, VA. This isn't just "mowing lawns"—it’s about maintaining a high-standard collegiate environment and leading a team that takes genuine pride in their craft. The Role: Impact & Leadership Lead & Motivate: Direct a dedicated crew in daily operations, ensuring high morale and peak efficiency. Hands-On Excellence: Lead from the front. You’ll be active in mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and seasonal restoration. Quality Stewardship: Maintain the "Gold Standard" of curb appeal expected by a premier educational institution. Safety & Equipment: Champion a safety-first culture while skillfully operating and maintaining professional-grade landscaping machinery. Schedule & Compensation We offer steady, full-time work with a schedule designed to beat the heat and maximize your afternoons. Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour Standard Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Winter Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM Flexibility: Candidates must be flexible for weekend work as needed to support school events and seasonal demands. What You Bring to the Team To maintain the security and excellence of our campus community, we require the following: Proven Leadership: Verifiable experience as a Landscape Crew Lead or in a similar supervisory role. Reliability: A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are a must. Integrity: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive lifetime criminal background check.
