About The Position

Pinehurst Landscapes is a leading full-service landscape company committed to crafting exceptional outdoor spaces that enrich our clients' lives and the environment. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Maintenance and Enhancement Project Manager to oversee and manage landscape projects from conception to completion. We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and hardworking landscape/hardscape foreman to lead a crew in completing high-quality outdoor living projects. You will oversee and manage a wide variety of landscaping projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. As a foreman, you will lead and work with a team of landscape technicians, coordinating daily activities, managing resources, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a landscape supervisory role.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of landscape and hardscape processes and principles.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems in real time.
  • Leadership: The ability to manage, motivate, and lead a team to efficiently and safely produce high quality work.
  • Certifications: At minimum, must possess a valid driver’s license and a current DOT Medical Card (or the ability to pass the medical examination).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Be comfortable working at heights on ladder, scaffolding, aerial platforms, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a landscape crew, assigning tasks and ensuring proper execution of all duties.
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate projects from start to completion. Understand workflow and job progression to utilize personnel and equipment to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and the clients’ expectations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations on site by making sure that all team members are wearing proper PPE and adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a workmanlike jobsite to minimize accidents.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train less experienced employees by providing guidance on proper horticultural practices, landscape construction techniques, and equipment and tool usage.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of landscape equipment including trucks and trailers, backhoes, excavators, and skid loaders, chippers, blowers, chainsaws, shears, sod cutters, and tillers. Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order prior to being brought to a worksite.
  • Interpretation of Scale Drawings: Be able to accurately perform layouts from drawings by using scales and appropriate measuring tools. The ability to use a Zip Level or builder’s level.
  • Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients. Communicate client concerns and requests to the Project Manager so they can be dealt with promptly.
  • Administrative Duties: Using company-provided devices, track time and materials on jobs. Communicate issues with team performance, job progress, and any challenges encountered during the day.
