Landscape Construction Crew Member
About The Position
Wright Outdoor Solutions offers indoor and outdoor services to residential and commercial clients and their communities across the country, including tree care, landscaping and maintenance, plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and decor, snow and ice management, and mulch. It has a family-founded history and became employee-owned in 2002. The Landscape Construction Crew Member works as a team member under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager. This role involves performing Landscape maintenance and installation services in Des Moines and surrounding areas, focusing on efficiency, job worksite safety, excellent customer service, and quality workmanship.
Requirements
- Report for duty at designated location on time each day
- Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
- Participate in weekly Safety Tailgate meetings and comply with all safety rules and company safety policies
- Follow directions from Landscape Foreperson and Supervisor
- Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions including: arbor care, plant health care, exterior maintenance, mowing, holiday lights and snow removal
- Ability to reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to endure repetitive twisting and bending motions
- Must have a positive attitude with a desire to learn
- Must be professional in appearance and actions
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and quality driven
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and during adverse weather conditions as warranted by workload and schedule
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Foreperson and team members
- Complete hardscaping, general landscaping, and other various tasks
- Represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism
- Assist Foreperson in maintaining a clean and safe jobsite
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
- Perform physically demanding work including heavy lifting on a daily basis
- Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality
- Attend training classes and educational seminars as requested by management
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
- Uphold the values of Wright Outdoor Solutions which includes; safety, integrity, excellence, stewardship and family
- Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions
