Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight & Scheduling
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the daily deployment of labor, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites in the Southwest Florida region.
  • Master Scheduling: Coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure project timelines are met, adjusting for weather delays or supply chain interruptions.
  • Profitability: Monitor "Estimated vs. Actual" hours and material usage to ensure every project hits its profit margin.
  • Quality Control & Technical Accuracy
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular "walk-throughs" to ensure planting depths, soil amendments, and irrigation layouts meet company and municipal standards.
  • Blueprints & Specs: Review all landscape and irrigation plans before a project starts to identify potential conflicts or "value engineering" opportunities.
  • Horticultural Standards: Ensure all Florida-specific species are handled correctly, from large-specimen palm installs to delicate littoral shelf plantings.
  • Leadership & Personnel Management
  • Foreman Development: Train and mentor Foremen in leadership, paperwork accuracy, and technical skills.
  • Conflict Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for field-level disputes or client concerns on-site.
  • Safety Culture: Enforce a "Zero-Accident" policy, ensuring all crews are compliant with OSHA and company safety protocols.
