About The Position

Designing a better world is more than a career, it’s a calling! Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to design excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Anchorage office. Landscape Architect/Planner/Site Designer: Do you have a minimum of 5 years of working experience with landscape and site design projects? Do you have experience designing parks, understanding the community engagement process, playground design, commercial/military projects, and understand coordinating with multi-disciplinary design teams? Do you have a desire to integrate indigenous culture into the built environment? Do you want to work in Alaska? If so, we want to talk to you! The ideal candidate for this position is a forward-thinking professional, who demonstrates strong initiative, and thrives in a collaborative environment. In this role, the successful candidate will spearhead all aspects of design, and guide projects from initial concept development through to project closeout. This requires generating precise, production-ready two-dimensional and three-dimensional technical drawings and documentation using industry-standard CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks). Additionally, the position involves managing project milestones and deliverables, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Effective coordination with cross-functional teams and external consultants is essential to ensure that design specifications and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires experience in architectural or engineering firms, the ability to independently manage multiple projects with strong prioritization and time management, and exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving is also essential.
