We are seeking an organized and efficient Lands & Leasing Department intern with an eye for detail and accuracy, to join our team. The Lands Department Intern will learn about OC Lands, permitted recreation on OC Lands, and how to engage with cruise ship visitors to Unalaska and Amaknak Islands. They will learn about issues like erosion control and contaminated lands clean-up projects taking place in the community, as well as getting their hands dirty with the annual spring event when we give away baby trees to shareholders and community members. They will learn about how the Lands Department works with other OC departments like IT, Leasing, Maintenance, and the WWII Visitor Center, as well as local entities like OptimERA, the Museum of the Aleutians, USAFV, the City, and the Qawalangin Tribe. They will participate in set up activities of annual events like OC’s annual meeting and the Qawalangin Tribe’s Camp Qungaayux^.
