About The Position
Waste Connections is seeking a hands‑on, safety‑focused Landfill Gas Technician to join our team in Oakdale, LA. This role is fully outdoors and requires working in all weather conditions. You’ll be part of a small, skilled team responsible for maintaining and optimizing the landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) that supports safe and compliant landfill operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain landfill gas system components in the field
- Pull, clean, and service pumps according to the preventive maintenance schedule
- Perform well‑field valve and vacuum adjustments to ensure proper system performance
- Run and fuse poly pipe as needed for system expansions or repairs
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain electronic monitoring and data‑collection equipment
- Respond to after-hours GCCS alarms or malfunctions on an on-call rotation
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support landfill operations
