As a Land Specialist Sr., you will ensure data integrity and accessibility across various enterprise systems through strategic reviews and critical analyses. You will establish technical strategies and implement solutions to achieve digital, data-driven business outcomes. Partnering closely with the Land department, you will gather and document both functional and system requirements, delivering solutions that align with the company's priorities. Additionally, you will identify and implement innovative tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data input, extraction, and reporting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business or Land Management and six (6) years of relevant work experience in land or land administration OR High School Diploma and ten (10) years of relevant work experience in land or land administration
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Experienced in data analytics software (e.g., PowerBI, Spotfire), data extraction, automation, AI, machine learning (TRDI preferred)
  • Demonstrates business acumen, capable of quickly solving complex problems through analytical and process-oriented logic, and ability to identify, design, implement, and adapt to new technologies, workflows, and processes
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the maintenance of data integrity within various systems and applications through strategic reviews, critical analysis, and the facilitation of quality control reports and processes
  • Identifies and implements innovative tools and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Participates in or facilitates the design, development, and implementation of these tools and business process improvements
  • Identifies provisions through the analysis of leases, title opinions, operating agreements, and other contracts and legal documents
  • Represents the Land Department as the Data Steward to the larger enterprise and mentor other land professionals
  • Collaborates with peers, other departments, and external partners and royalty owners; addressing and resolving requests and issues promptly
  • Leads and assist with special projects that further enhance, develop, and grow the Land business needs
  • Other duties as assigned
