Acuity is seeking a Land Maintenance Specialist to maintain corporate grounds and other assigned properties, including interior plants, seasonal decorations, buildings, and equipment. This role also supports the setup and breakdown for corporate, employee, and community events. Some responsibilities will require work to be completed outside of standard business hours. Internal Application Deadline: March 5, 2026 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs daily horticulture maintenance such as planting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation maintenance, pest monitoring, seasonal change out of annuals to maintain high quality gardens and landscapes. Assists with greenhouse production of over 10,000 seasonal annuals and perennials each year. Maintains safe winter grounds including snow plowing, shoveling, and blowing; installing and removing snow flags; applying deicing materials. Assists with routine and proactive pond maintenance on Acuity’s private ponds to maintain a healthy ecofriendly environment. Timely and proactively maintains all land maintenance equipment. Performs routine maintenance, repairs and tune-ups. Creates monthly report detailing expenditures and adherence to preventative maintenance schedule. Assists with landscape construction projects including planting and/or transplanting trees, shrubs, perennials, and bulbs; installs edging and drain tile. Installs and maintains interior Holiday decorations throughout Acuity campus. Installs, maintains, and removes exterior Holiday lights. Assists with maintenance and cleaning of interior plants. Assists with special event set up and take down. Reasonably regular, predictable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalent. Post-secondary education and/or licensing in related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: Five years’ broad-based experience in all phases of land maintenance. Must be familiar with routine maintenance and minor repair of small engines. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Wisconsin driver’s license. High degree of organization; respect for property and the landscape. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to work in any and all-weather conditions. Possession or willingness and ability to obtain categories 3 and 5 Commercial Applicator of Pesticides Certificate. Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 75lbs. Work a flexible schedule, including periodic weekends and winter snow removal availability. Acuity does not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization. This job is classified as nonexempt.
