About The Position

Printpack is seeking a candidate for the Laser Laminator Assistant role. This position supports the operation of Laser Adhesive Laminators to produce high-quality laminated and/or perforated products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role reports to the Press Supervisor. Shift Hours: 3PM to 11PM An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Stable work history
  • Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
  • Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment assessments
  • Drug screening required
  • Background check required
  • Capability to lift and move up to 65 pounds
  • Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat
  • Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
  • Ability to climb ladders safely
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and motorized pallet jack certifications
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts
  • May require nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or printing experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus
  • Willingness to learn advanced laminating and laser processes
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the safe operation and setup of Laser Adhesive Laminators
  • Follow all safety policies and actively support a safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and support teams
  • Communicate production or equipment issues promptly
  • Learn and apply job specifications, quality standards, and technical documentation
  • Monitor equipment and processes to ensure product quality
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with other machines as operational needs require
  • Meet performance expectations for productivity, waste, quality, safety, and attendance
