About The Position

Lactation Educator RN located at St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA. Position available is Part Time, 8-hour Day shifts. Accountable for the direct and indirect care for infants and women both in the inpatient or outpatient clinic setting. Responsible to provide postpartum maternal and neonatal assessments. Develops feeding plans to address the nutritional needs of the infant that may include but is not limited to breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as appropriate. Requirements

  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years of experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or NICU department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting.

  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant upon hire.
  • Or Certified Lactation Consultant upon hire.
