About The Position
The Lactation Consultant assists and assess patients with breastfeeding while making daily rounds. Will evaluate patients who have problems breastfeeding and develop feeding schedule/plan with the pediatrician, bedside nurse and mother.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field required
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- One year working in acute care setting with breastfeeding mothers
Nice To Haves
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
- Baby Friendly facility preferred
