About The Position
A registered or licensed professional who assumes responsibility for the development and coordination of lactation educational programs, projects and clinical services for The Women’s Center.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or CBE (Certified Breastfeeding Educator) or must obtain within 2 years of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent computer and phone skills
- Comprehensive understanding of principles of breastfeeding, nutritional requirements of infant and normal feeding behaviors
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in maternal-child area with experience assisting breastfeeding families
