A laborer will perform tasks that assist construction crews in the buildout of fiber networks. In this position you are learning and taking direction from onsite foreman, pot-holing, running parts and materials, assisting equipment operators with signaling safe movement, and operating construction hand tools and other small engine tools or equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or the equivalent in knowledge and training required
Ability to read instructions and take work direction verbally and in writing
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass background check
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing

Nice To Haves

Class A CDL, not required but ability to obtain this license is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform physical labor tasks in preparation for trenching, plowing, and directional bore drilling
Digging with shovels, pot holing to expose and identify utilities, and mixing bore mud
Perform site restoration work
Safely and securely load and unload construction equipment and materials
Must comply with all safety requirements and participate in required safety training
Perform other duties as assigned
