About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer (Underground Utilities) to support underground construction operations. This role assists with jobsite preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and general labor tasks to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew
• Willingness to learn construction tasks and safety procedures
• Basic physical stamina and mechanical aptitude
• Developing communication skills suitable for jobsite environments
• Strong reliability and safety awareness
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 75 lbs
• This role requires the operation of a company vehicle. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to maintain insurability under the company's auto policy are essential
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Ability to work around heavy equipment, noise, and vibration
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Monday–Friday, approximately 40–50 hours per week
• Weekend work as needed
• Travel up to 75%

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks including digging, backfilling, site cleanup, and material handling
• Stage tools, materials, and equipment for daily operations
• Support drill operators, locators, and foremen with jobsite activities
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Assist with operating hydrovac equipment under supervision to expose underground utilities
• Follow established safety procedures and crew instructions
